15/09/2009 DO NOT SEND THEM ANYTHING! 20/10/2010 Hi, Thank you for posting the scam warnings on Google. It helped us identify the suspicious transaction he was trying to put through is truly a scam. It happened exactly as what you described but luckily we didn’t go ahead with the order. Thank you indeed! Regards, Julia 29/04/2011 Hi guys, We’ve stumbled upon the following page on your website after Googling the details of a suspicious email from an alleged customer. The details of the email are almost identical – email address, PO box address, format; except he’s asking for books off us (as we are a bookshop). As your website asks that we email details, I’ve included the email correspondence below. Regards, Reece 4/5/2011 Good morning! We are grateful for your actions to place an alert on Google in regard to “Scot Dench supplieshudson@yahoo.com”. We have exchanged several emails about medical books in the past week, and as it just didn’t make sense for someone in Sydney to be seeking to purchase books from a Qld retailer, we found your alert on Google. Needless to say we will abandon further communications with these shysters! Regards Will 9/6/2011 Many thanks for posting the information on this supposed customer!!! As a retailer I was knocked back for wholesale quotes and alerted to the suspicion surrounding this character before getting my business involved. If not for your posting no doubt my small business would have been adversely affected. Cheers Vicky 10/6/2011 Hi, This character is now trying to purchase medical books from us in New Zealand and uses this exact approach - I became a little suspiscous when one of his credit cards was declined. I decided to check out his address which did not make sense and then I asked him to call me which or course he declined to do at the time. This could have really affected my small business so thank you for posting this alert. Deborah 7/7/2011 You’re a good man for putting that page up Stewart. On behalf of the rest of Australian business’s – I thank you. I will do the same if I come across any more scammers in the future. p.s. I sent him an abusive email suggesting that we are on his tail, I hope that disturbs his crime spree Stefan 14/8/2011 Thank you for your scam alert about Scot Dench. This character is still at it. We received an order for medical books today. As it sounded a bit fishy I checked it out online, only to find your page. You saved us a heap of trouble! Thanks Elsa 30/10/2011 This is just to say thanks for your warning web page. The "Scott Dench scam" to purchase ink is obviously still being pitched. The below is a report from whois.com which traces the IP it back to Mauritius 3/11/2011 Hi, Thank you for the info in Google, thought it looked a bit suss, read below. Ross
